Batticaloa Eravur – Agrivoltaic Solar Plant

Introduction

Seylon Ultra Nature Pvt Ltd is an approved 3MW P Solar Project in Eravur in the Batticaloa District in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka.

Batticaloa is situated 300Km away from the Capital City of Colombo. The Project is ready with all required preliminary approvals for installation of Solar Panels in privately owned 10 Acre Land. The ground mounted project provides much required renewable energy to the east coast of Sri Lanka.

The objective of Batticaloa is to also utilize the balance land to allow farmers in the area to grow produce both around and under the solar installation.

After considering the climate and soil profile in the area, crops such as peanuts, green chilies, beans, turnips, and watermelons can be grown.

This project will be a huge boost towards economic development in the Eastern Province of Sri Lanka. Reliable and affordable power is a critical prerequisite in the realization of the significant but as yet under-developed potential of the region in the tourism, shrimp farming, and fish and rice processing industries.
